FULL MATCH: Elimination Chamber for Universal Title opportunity: WWE Elimination Chamber 2021

The WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 featured a highly anticipated match where six top SmackDown Superstars battled inside the unforgiving steel structure for the chance to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns later that same night. The participants in this brutal encounter were Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, King Corbin, and Jey Uso. Each competitor had a unique reason to pursue victory, but only one could emerge as the number one contender.

Match Overview

The match started with Daniel Bryan and Cesaro as the first two entrants, setting the tone with technical prowess and hard-hitting offense. Both Superstars showcased their incredible in-ring skills, trading grapples and strikes as they attempted to gain an early advantage. The structure itself played a key role early on, with Cesaro using the steel chains to wear down Bryan.

As time elapsed, the next competitor to enter the match was King Corbin. The powerhouse immediately imposed his will, using his size and strength to dominate both Bryan and Cesaro. Corbin delivered a series of powerful moves, including a Deep Six to Bryan, nearly securing an elimination. However, Bryan and Cesaro temporarily worked together to neutralize Corbin’s momentum.

Kevin Owens was the fourth entrant, adding a new layer of intensity to the match. Owens, known for his aggressive style, went after everyone in the ring, delivering cannonballs, suplexes, and a brutal Swanton Bomb off one of the pods. His high-energy offense had the crowd engaged as he laid out all three of his opponents.

Sami Zayn, the next entrant, initially hesitated to leave his pod, attempting to outthink his competition. However, Owens quickly dragged him into the fight, delivering a flurry of strikes. The long-time rivals reignited their feud inside the chamber, with Owens hitting a Pop-Up Powerbomb on Zayn. Shortly after, Cesaro caught Corbin in the Sharpshooter, forcing him to tap out, making Corbin the first elimination of the match.

Jey Uso, the final entrant, wasted no time making his presence felt. With the support of his cousin Roman Reigns looming in the background, Uso targeted Owens, eventually slamming the chamber door onto his arm. This strategic attack led to Uso eliminating Owens with a top-rope splash. Meanwhile, Cesaro continued his dominant performance, swinging Zayn into the steel before pinning him for the elimination.

The final three competitors—Bryan, Cesaro, and Uso—were left to battle for the opportunity at the Universal Championship. Cesaro displayed incredible athleticism, but Uso capitalized on an opening, hitting a Frog Splash to eliminate him. This set up a dramatic one-on-one finale between Uso and Bryan.

Despite the punishment Bryan endured, he managed to counter Uso’s offense and delivered a Running Knee to secure the victory. However, his celebration was short-lived, as Roman Reigns immediately entered the ring for their title match.

Aftermath

An exhausted Bryan attempted to fight back, even locking Reigns in the Yes Lock, but the fresh champion overpowered him. Reigns quickly broke free and put Bryan away with the Guillotine Choke, retaining the Universal Championship in dominant fashion.

The Elimination Chamber match was a brutal, high-stakes contest that demonstrated the resilience of Daniel Bryan while showcasing the brutality of Roman Reigns as a dominant champion.
