FULL MATCH – 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match: Survivor Series 2016

The 2016 Survivor Series featured one of the most star-studded 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Matches in WWE history. Representing the two brands, Team Raw and Team SmackDown Live brought their biggest names to the battlefield in a clash of pride, supremacy, and brand dominance.

Team Raw boasted an all-star lineup: Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Braun Strowman. On the opposite side, Team SmackDown Live featured AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and the surprising inclusion of Shane McMahon. The stakes were high as the two brands vied for bragging rights.

The atmosphere in Toronto’s Air Canada Centre was electric as the match began. The action was intense from the outset, with inter-brand rivalries boiling over and unexpected alliances forming. Braun Strowman’s dominance was evident early on, eliminating Dean Ambrose with a thunderous Running Powerslam. However, Team SmackDown struck back when James Ellsworth, SmackDown’s mascot, interfered, causing Strowman to be counted out after being sent through a table.

Tensions within Team SmackDown escalated when Ambrose, furious over his elimination, attacked his own teammate, AJ Styles. This chaos momentarily reunited former Shield members Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose, who delivered a triple powerbomb to Styles through the announcers’ table, igniting a huge crowd reaction.

As eliminations piled up, the match boiled down to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for Team Raw against Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt for Team SmackDown, with Luke Harper making a brief appearance to assist Wyatt. Despite Rollins’ valiant effort, he fell victim to an RKO from Orton and was eliminated.

The conclusion saw Orton sacrificing himself by absorbing a Spear from Reigns, allowing Wyatt to capitalize with a devastating Sister Abigail for the pinfall victory. Team SmackDown emerged victorious, showcasing unity and strategic brilliance.

This match delivered high-octane action, unpredictable moments, and emotional storytelling, solidifying its place as one of the most memorable Survivor Series clashes in WWE history.
